2025 Affordable Housing Symposium

Registration is now open for the 2025 Affordable Housing Symposium, co-hosted by the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC) and Housing Advisory Group (HAG).

Join your affordable housing colleagues on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 on Capitol Hill, where you’ll hear from Members of Congress and key congressional staff, as well as updates from industry leaders and advocates about the latest issues impacting the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Housing Credit). After the Symposium, all participants are invited to a networking reception with key Members of Congress and staff.

On the following day, Thursday, June 5, 2025, we are looking forward to once again arranging congressional meetings as part of the Symposium, and we encourage all attendees to join us in advocating for the Housing Credit while in Washington, D.C. Individual schedules and briefing materials for congressional meetings will be provided as the event approaches, but in the meantime, please indicate when you register if you would like to participate.

2024 Affordable Housing Symposium

On May 21 and 22, 2024, the Housing Advisory Group (HAG) and the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC) co-hosted the 2024 Affordable Housing Symposium in Washington, DC. Attendees heard remarks from Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Todd Young (R-IN) and Representatives Darin LaHood (R-IL-16) and Claudia Tenney (R-NY-24), and Biden Administration officials, including Siobhan Kelly, Associate Director, Federal Housing Finance Agency’s Office of Multifamily Policy and Analytics, and Aaron Shroyer, Housing Lead, National Economic Council in The White House.

Attendees also heard updates from congressional staff representing members on key House and Senate committees, and insights from industry leaders and advocates about the latest issues impacting the Low-Income Housing Credit (Housing Credit). After the symposium, all participants were invited to attend a networking reception with key members of Congress and staff.

The following day, on Wednesday, May 21, 2024, the AHTCC and Housing Advisory Group arranged congressional meetings for over 60 participants with nearly 35 congressional offices as part of the Symposium, to continue building support for the Housing Credit and the Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act (AHCIA).
